The "Whole Numbers, Fractions, Decimals, Algebra" that we know...

The "Whole Numbers, Fractions, Decimals, Algebra" that we know...

What?
-Whole numbers is use for counting. numbers can be add(addition), subtract(subtraction), multiply(multiplication) and divide(division).
-Decimal is a way of managing numbers that has ten as a starting point, or base.
-Fraction is a mathematical expression relating two quantities or numbers, one divided by the other.
-Algebra use letters (a,b,c,...) or other symbols(to calculate some problems) to represent numbers, either because the numbers are unknown or because the numbers change during the course of the problem, in which case the letters are called variables
Where?/When?/Who?/How?
-When our parents would buy some groceries at the supermarket.
-When you buy half of the item such as fish(fraction).
-The cashier would add up the prices(addition/(prices)decimals).
-If you had some vouchers, it could reduce price(subtraction).
-If you bought two or more of the same item it would multiply the price(multiplication).
-When you are sharing an item with you friend you have to divide the cost(division).
Why?
We can use these to calculate things, like how many things we need to buy and know how much they cost.
